HEMLOCK BRIDGE & WHISPERING CAVE
The Hemlock Bridge Trail, one of Hocking Hill’s two newest trails, spans 1 mile long. The trail connects with the Grandma Gatewood Trail, which provides access to nearby Old Man's Cave and Cedar Falls. One of most exciting parts of this trail is the swinging bridge that passes over the Salt Creek below. Be careful!
Whispering Cave Trail is the other of new trail additions to the Hocking Hills. This 0.2 mile addition to the Hemlock Bridge Trail gives visitors access to a previously blocked off cave with a stunning waterfall. This cave is the second largest in the park next to Ash Cave.
The Whispering Cave trail head starts near where the Hocking Hills Lodge once stood. Visitors to this trail will find a more vertical hike than what the other trails provide. With a beautify waterfall and swinging bridge at the end, it is worth the trek!
